We had fun going to a concert for kids at the zoo this morning. Cate was sitting in my lap when she wasn't dancing, so that made for an awkward video angle. Still, look at her go!

Last day of first grade

Today was Jack's last day of the first grade! Here are some pictures taken outside of his classroom when we picked him up today.

This is the rose bush in my garden - it went nuts with the hot weather this week.

Adler Planetarium

We had a fun outing to the Adler Planetarium with some of our playgroup friends this morning. Here the kids are playing on the surface of the sun.

It has been insanely hot the last few days - above 95 late into the evening. Cate loves to be outside anyway. Here she is relaxing on our hammock swing after dinner.

Rites of May

Hard to believe this is our fourth year attending Rites of May, the big spring festival at Jack's school. The boys had a blast as always.

Easter

Decorating eggs:

Some people would rather play outside (in the first half-nice day we've had in weeks) than fool around with eggs.

Easter morning - eggs, candy, and presents.

Cranes of hope

Each paper crane on the tree represents a $5 donation for aid to Japan. Fifth graders at Jack's school raised $5000!

This is Matt and his group around the first module they installed at Chooz. He's coming home on Saturday for a week and then back to France for three more weeks. Ellis thinks they are going to the moon.
